It was established with 50-50% partnership of Abalıoglu Holding A.S. and Italian Marchi&Fildi SPA in 2008 in city of Biella province of Piemonte region in Italy.

While yarns that are raw materials for special textile products intended for fashion and technical applications; trials for new products are carried out with innovative solutions. There is also a dyeing mill in Piemonte near the R&D center.

Filidea SRL's advanced research and development center, awarded the 2009 Greenfield reward thanks to its R&D investments, is designed to produce specialty products in the Piemonte Region of Italy.
